Chris Hanback
Since 2019, Chris Hanback has been a partner with The Ventis Group, a private equity management and real estate development firm. At The Ventis Group, Chris is responsible for business operations and investor management. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1997 with a BS in Corporate Finance and spent 22 years in commercial banking and private industry. He is deeply rooted in the community and currently serves as Board Chair for The Huntsville Downtown Redevelopment Authority. In 2025, he was also appointed to The Huntsville Music Board. Chris recently finished a two year term as Board Chair for The Huntsville Committee of 100 and previously served as Board Chair for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
Chris delivers a wide network of relationships as well as years of experience in the areas of finance and operations. When not working, he and his wife Katherine can likely be found traveling somewhere warm or listening to live music in a small venue.
Rob Heard
Rob Heard serves as lead manager of fund assets and directs portfolio investments for The Ventis Group.
Rob holds a Masters of Public Accountancy from Mississippi State University and a CPA. He spent the last 19 years as a commercial banker, CFO and real estate fund manager. Rob currently serves on the board of Downtown Huntsville Inc.
In addition to his passion for real estate, Rob enjoys traveling, eating and playing golf with his family. He’s been married to his wife, Laurie, for 25 years and has two daughters.
